Lovingly produced in Belgium, Perlège chocolates were created from a desire to associate the good taste of chocolate with the notion of ‘no added sugar’. They are produced separately from our regular chocolate, and we have a dedicated production line as well as separate tanks and pipes to ensure that there is no risk of cross-contamination.

The recipe we use was developed with the help of Barry Callebaut. We had a real desire to get the taste and texture as close as possible to our regular chocolate while using a natural sweetener called stevia. In order to sweeten chocolate with the extracts from the stevia plant, only an infinitely small amount needs to be added. We have therefore worked hard to create the perfect balance of sweetness and flavour, ensuring Perlège can satisfy even the most demanding chocolate lover.
